Understanding the Free and Pro plans

Kovix has two plans: Free and Pro. Here's everything you need to know to decide which is right for you and what you get with each. What's included in the Free plan? The Free plan is designed for creators who are just getting started or who only invoice occasionally. It includes: - Up to 2 invoices per month — enough to test the platform and handle light workloads - Full invoice creation, sending, and tracking - The Received tab for viewing invoices sent to you - Basic dashboard with earnings overview The Free plan never expires and requires no payment method. You can stay on Free for as long as you like. What's included in Pro? Pro is built for creators who invoice regularly and want to run their freelance work seriously. It includes everything in Free, plus: Unlimited invoices. No monthly cap. Send as many invoices as your workload demands — whether that's 5 or 50 per month. AI assistant. Two AI-powered tools to save you time: - Description writer — give the AI a quick summary of what you built and it'll write a polished, professional invoice description for you - Monthly summary — at the start of each month, the AI generates a plain-English overview of your invoicing activity: how much you earned, how many invoices you sent, your most active clients, and notable trends Advanced email notifications. Get notified the moment a client views your invoice, when payment comes in, when an invoice goes overdue, and more. Free plan users get basic notifications only. How much does Pro cost? Pricing is shown on the Settings → Plan page inside your account. Kovix bills monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time and your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. What is the 14-day free trial? New users who haven't previously trialled Pro can activate a 14-day free trial at no cost. The trial gives you full access to every Pro feature — unlimited invoices, the AI assistant, and advanced notifications — with no charge until the trial ends. You'll need to enter a payment method to start the trial. If you cancel before the 14 days are up, you won't be charged anything. If you don't cancel, your subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial period. The free trial is a one-time offer per account. Once used, it cannot be activated again. How do I start the free trial? You can go to Settings → Plan and click Start 14-day free trial. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout to enter your payment details. How do I upgrade from Free to Pro without a trial? Go to Settings → Plan and click Upgrade to Pro. You'll go through Stripe checkout where you can enter your card details and confirm the subscription. Once payment is confirmed, Pro features activate immediately. What happens to my invoices if I downgrade? Your existing invoices and all your data stay intact. However, once you're back on Free, you'll be limited to 2 new invoices per month. Any invoices already sent before downgrading remain fully functional and can still be paid by clients. The AI assistant and advanced notifications will be deactivated. Can I cancel my subscription mid-month? Yes. Go to Settings → Plan and click Cancel subscription. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period — you won't lose access immediately. After the period ends, your account moves to the Free plan automatically. You won't receive a refund for the remaining days in the period. What happens if my payment fails? If your card is declined on renewal, Stripe will retry the charge over the following few days and notify you by email. If the payment continues to fail, your account will move to the Free plan and Pro features will be deactivated. To reactivate, go to Settings → Plan, update your payment method, and re-subscribe.
